What is NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to eligible people living with a permanent and significant disability.Rather than delivering services directly, the NDIS gives participants funding to access the supports they need to live more independently, build skills, participate in their community, and work towards their personal goals.Every participant has different needs, which is why each NDIS plan is tailored to the individual. Funding can be used for a wide range of supports, including personal care, community participation, support coordination, behaviour support, therapy, supported independent living, and many other disability-related services. At Grevillea Care Services, we work alongside participants, their families, and their support network to ensure supports are delivered safely, respectfully, and in a way that reflects each person’s goals and choices.
